There are so many blogs out there on the internet. So many passionate women sharing their experiences through trying to conceive, pregnancy, labor and delivery, postpartum, caring for new babies, and then raising those babies. Each of those blogs bring something unique and amazing. It’s almost like trying to find a new doctor. You want someone that knows what they are talking about and can give you the right medical advice but you also want someone that you can connect with.
I hope that this can help you find some other voices out there that will help you through your journey of motherhood wherever you are. I am a true believer that as women we need to continue to love support and build each other up. Here are a few of my favorite motherhood blogs to guide you on your journey.
So let’s get into it!

Pregnant Chicken
Don’t be fooled you won’t find anything on this blog about poultry farming. It’s a lot less about chickens and more about your own little offspring. It was started by Amy Morrison a mom struggling to make it through the newborn trenches back in 2010. She felt like she wanted to build something that everyday women could understand. On the site she has built some amazing content about all aspects of motherhood from trying to conceive to parenting.
The site is beautifully created and easy to navigate. You can also find stories from other real women through their birth and parenting journey. The content is educational but put into layman’s terms so we can all understand.

Alpha Mom
Who doesn’t appreciate that friend that makes you laugh but will also lovingly tell you when you are being a real pain in the *ss. Isabel and her writers will definitely get you laughing but also shoot you straight and tell you what you really need to hear. Like a real friend they don’t always sugar coat it. My favorite part about this blog is the advice smackdown. Readers send in questions and writer Amalah gives some straight forward and sometimes hard advice. If you want solutions she will give you answers laced with a good sense of humor.
You will also find lot of fun family activities and lighthearted motherhood advice. It is a refreshing read and will definitely keep you hooked.
Come and see Alpha Mom.

Lucie’s List
Lucie’s list was started by Meg a mom of two girls. She was like many of us feeling overwhelmed and had no clue what she was doing. She bought the things people said you needed and struggled through sleep training. She built this blog so that you wouldn’t have to struggle through all that. She will shoot you straight and give you all the secrets.
She and her team walk you through all stages from pregnancy to preschool. The give you all the nitty gritty info and guides to make life easier as a mom. I love their straight forward attitude. Her “crib notes” are a must. It is a weekly curated email that is easily digestible on the low down for where you are in your personal journey.
